Autumn issue of the UNIMOG Heft’l club magazine published
Twelve pages! The new issue of UNIMOG Heft’l reserves more space for topics from the regional chapters than it has in a long time, as many special events have been organized there over the past few months. These diverse activities, spread across all regions, are what define the club. One highlight is the large annual meeting in the Netherlands.
Dr. Lars Nebermann, the club’s expert on motorhome construction, provides helpful tips for everyone who wants to travel longer and further with their Unimog. In addition, we showcase images by the celebrated Swiss art director and photo artist David Houncheringer, whose Unimog transported his family from Patagonia to the USA. Angelika Grieb-Erhardt reports on the appearances of the club’s Unimog at two major events.
And Richard Koch highly recommends a visit to the special exhibition at the Unimog Museum, where many unique models can be admired over the coming months.
In addition to the museum, the Unimog itself is celebrating a milestone birthday this year. To mark the 80th anniversary of this all-purpose vehicle, Daimler Truck has unveiled the “most luxurious Unimog ever.” The concept car—which may end up becoming more than originally intended—is a fitting birthday gift. After all, the Unimog has always been valued not just for testing limits, but for crossing them as well.
Tip: All previously published issues of the club magazine are available as flipbooks to browse through in the members’ area on the UCG homepage. Issue 132 will also be published in English.
